Lil's Lids

Whilst Lily was in the rehab ward after her accident a lovely lady in Annette's Dubai Knitting Group gave Lily some wool, a loom and a pattern to knit beanies.

For the next 18 months Lily diligently worked on the beanie anytime she could as she realized it was good as occupational therapy.

Since then Lily has made hundreds of beanies and has managed to get production down to 2 hours - 185 for the 2020 Virtual March Marathon, for sale at market stalls, for friends and family, and for her carers.  She can make them for new borns and grandparents and every size and age in between.  

Lily takes requests for any color and combinations you can think of.  She has even designed and made ear warmers for a whole hockey team!

For the 2022 Virtual March Marathon Lily made beanies in the Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) and Traumatic Brain Injury supporters ribbon color - green. 

This was separate to the virtual marathon. 57 people ordered beanies from Lily, the profits of which went towards bridging her out of pocket expenses from the purchase of her FES machine in 2020.  Through your generosity she raised $1,175 towards the total $10,000 out of pocket expenses.
